This week, July 28th to August 1st, my publisher, Jolly Fish Press, is launching a campaign highlighting summer reading for kids. The purpose, among other things, is to encourage parents to inspire their children to read during summer. Up In the Air was one of the five books selected and will be featured on July 31st. As an incentive, the price of the book will be $1.99 for this one day only.
I would like to enlist your help in getting the word out this week, especially since I’m sure most of you realize the importance of reading in a child’s life. So spread the word here on FB, tweet about it or send emails to your friends and family. You can also post your favorite summer reads or pictures of your kids reading if you feel comfortable doing so. For tweets you can use the hashtag #SummerReading2014
